Anna TonnaZarzuela, Tango: ¡Extraordinario!

Pablo ZingerAnna Tonna, soprano, and Pablo Zinger, pianist, are internationally known for their expertise in music of Spain and Latin America. Ms. Tonna, a former Fulbright scholar to Spain, has distinguished herself in fields of opera and art song throughout Spain and the Americas. Mr. Zinger, accompanist to Placido Domingo, specializes in tango and zarzuela, not only as a performer but also as a composer and lecturer.

Valley Chamber OrchestraValley Chamber Orchestra

Please join Valley Chamber Orchestra for its fall concert featuring a variety of favorites including the majestic Russian Easter Overture by Rimsky-Korsakov and music from the film, The Lion King, such as Circle of Life, Can You Feel The Love Tonight, and Hakuna Matada. Percussionist, Zubin Hathi, will be featured in Koppel's Marimba Concerto.

Celebrating the dedication of the new entrance to Talmadge Recital Hall with a special performance of Brahms' Liebeslieder Waltzes, featuring guest artists Powell Leitch, Marcia Thom-Kaley, Gregory Parker and Judith Cline, assisted by Kerry Morgiewicz and Melia Garber on the piano.

World Music Ensemble

The Hollins University World Music Ensemble and special guests will present a lively evening of music from the Caribbean and Africa performed on steel drums and marimbas. Selections will range from traditional music to pop and seasonal.

White Gift Service

The White Gift Service is a beloved Hollins University tradition celebrating Advent and Christmas through music, scripture readings, and dance from our faculty, staff, and students, as well as familiar congregational carols. It features the Hollins University Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, and the Divine in Motion Praise Dance Team. Also included are guest performances on the carillon, organ and by the Roanoke Chamber Brass. An offering is collected to benefit ministries through the Hollins University Chapel.
