Judith Cline Concert

Judith ClineProfessor of Music Judith Cline, soprano, assisted by Cara Modisett, piano, will present a program of American music for voice and piano, featuring the premiere of a commissioned work by Eileen O'Connor '12.

Choral Concert

The Hollins University Concert Choir and Talmadge Singers will present their spring choral concert.

Valley Chamber OrchestraValley Chamber Orchestra

The Valley Chamber Orchestra, directed by Richard McClure, will present Fingal's Cave by Mendelssohn, accompanied by the Hollins University Concert Choir, led by Shelbie Wahl-Fouts, in selections by Tchaikovsky and Wagner. Additional orchestral selections include movie themes from Dances with Wolves, Star Wars, Superman, Jaws and E.T. The final movement of Bruch's Concerto for Violin and Viola will be performed by Bryan and Kevin Matheson. Completing the program will be the winner of the Hollins Academy of Music Piano Concerto Competition, Meagan Gillette.

World Music Ensemble

The Hollins University World Music Ensemble will perform a lively mix of music on the steel pans and African mallets.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair and join the Hollins University Concert Choir, Hollins University Talmadge Singers, and World Music Ensemble for a performance on Front Quad. Ice cream served at 6:30 p.m. (rain location - duPont Chapel)
