An articulation agreement for guaranteed acceptance has been established with the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia, for Hollins students interested in earning the doctor of osteopathic medicine (D.O.) degree.
Hollins students must have a grade point average of 3.4 or higher, and have earned a bachelor of science degree in biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, or psychology. All students applying for the program must also complete the medical college admission test (MCAT), obtain 100 hours of health care volunteer hours and 100 hours of community volunteer hours, and complete a specified amount of coursework as part of their degree from Hollins. An early acceptance program for Hollins students in their sophomore year has also been established.
