Harrisonburg, VA - Hollins University Basketball at Eastern Mennonite University, December 3, 2011 The Hollins basketball team set out on the road for the fourth time this season when they traveled to face, ODAC leading, Eastern Mennonite University on Saturday afternoon. Hollins was looking for their first win away from home all season in a game that featured two undefeated ODAC squads. It was the home team that jumped out to the early lead as Hollins shot just 21.4% during the first half and found themselves in a 34-13 halftime hole. Hollins played considerably better in the second stanza but it wasn't enough as Eastern Mennonite remained unbeaten with a 67-40 win. The junior backcourt of Jasmine Greene (Hampton, VA/Tabb) and Lacie Forrest (Richmond, VA/Meadowbrook) led the way for Hollins. Greene, the ODAC's leading scorer, poured in 14 points to go with her 10 rebounds and five assists. Forrest added 12 points and two assists while a quartet of Hollins players scored three points apiece. Hollins got out-rebounded 48-35 and committed 25 turnovers for the game. The Royals were led by Kala Yoders and Bianca Ygarza, each scoring 11 points. First-year guard Raiven Patterson and Marla Young each added nine as 10 different players got into the scoring column for the home team. Hollins will have no rest as they play host to Peace College tomorrow afternoon.
