Hollins Riding Capture Collegiate Cup at Spring Welcome Horse Show


A three-member team of riders from Hollins University topped seven other teams to win the Collegiate Cup, a feature class to showcase college riders, at the first Hollins Spring Welcome Horse Show, held February 27 – March 2 at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington.

Hollins Team Gold, featuring Tori Bauers '14 (who was also the High Point Rider out of the 24 Collegiate Cup competitors), Carly Todd '16, and Madi Hurley '17, won the championship, while Hollins Team Green (Caleigh Bravo '16, Sarah Rubin '17, and Catherine Hensly '14) finished third.

The Hollins Spring Welcome Horse Show is a United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) "A" rated hunter and jumper event. Hollins is only the second college or university currently hosting a National “A” show within the USEF, and the first women’s college to do so.
