Saturday afternoon marked the ODAC opener for Hollins as they traveled to face Randolph-Macon College.  Hollins was looking to get off to a quick start in the ODAC by taking down the Yellow Jackets.  However, Macon struck first scoring eight minutes into the contest.  Before Hollins could catch their breath, the Jackets again found the back of the net just two and a half minutes later.  Hollins regrouped and put some pressure on their hosts but couldn't answer the two early goals.  The Yellow Jackets put an exclamation on the game by scoring in the final ten minutes en route to an ODAC opening 3-0 win.

The Hollins offense couldn't get anything substantial going and got outshot 30-5 on the afternoon.  Sara Poole (Blue Ridge, VA/Lord Botetourt) led the visitors with three shots.  The defense had another fairly solid effort and keeper Kristen Norkus (Gainesville, VA/Battlefield) came up with 11 saves.

The Yellow Jackets got on the board quickly when Erin Hauser found the back of the net for the fifth time this season.  Angela Nelms took a pass from sister Amanda for Macon's second goal and Angela Mastellone rounded out the scoring.

Hollins will be back on the road on Wednesday night.  This time it is a short trip as Hollins travels across town to face Roanoke College at 7:00pm.
