The Hollins swim team was back in the pool after taking a break for the holidays.  Hollins took on Bridgewater and Ferrum in a tri-meet hosted by the Eagles.  Hollins was able to top the Panthers 64-31 but fell to ODAC foe Bridgewater 72-23.  Hollins picked up two wins and five second place finishes in the 11 event meet.

Maggie Dwyer (Norwich, VT) continued her stellar season with two more first place finishes.  Dwyer won the 1500 meter Freestyle then came back later in the meet to win the 400 meter Freestyle.  Audrey James (Fremont, CA) finished runner-up in the 200 meter Freestyle and the 100 meter Backstroke.  Meg O'Brien (Chattanooga, TN) picked up second place points in the 100 meter Butterfly and teamed with James, Ashley Gao (Pearland, TX) and Kara Berman (Chapel Hill, NC) to finish second in the 400 meter Medley Relay.  In the final event of the night, the Hollins relay team of Dwyer, Grace Iaquinto (Huntington, WV), Michelle Douglas (Chesapeake, VA), and Sage Otto (Hampton, VA) came in second in the 800 meter Freestyle Relay.

Hollins will host Sweet Briar College on Tuesday January 17.  The ODAC meet will start at 6:00pm.
