After being out of the pool since November 12th, the Hollins swim team traveled to ODAC rival Sweet Briar College on Saturday afternoon. They competed against the Vixens and Ferrum College in a tri-meet. Hollins downed the Panthers, 54-41, to pick up their fifth win of the season, but fell short against Sweet Briar, 27-66.

Maggie Dwyer (Norwich, VT) led the way for Hollins by winning two individual events and helping to wing a third in the relays. Dwyer picked up wins in the 800 meter Freestyle and the 400 meter Freestyle. Her time of 10.09.90 in the 800 was a Hollins varsity record. Maggie also teamed with Sage Otto (Hampton, VA), Meg O'Brien (Chattanooga, TN), and Audrey James (Fremont, CA) to win the 200 meter Freestyle Relay in Hollins record fashion with a time of 2:07.11. James added second place points in the 50 meter Freestyle and a third place finish in the 100 meter Freestyle. O'Brien also had a third place finish in the 200 meter Individual Medley.

Hollins will take their 5-2 record into the holiday break. Their next event will be on January 13th when they travel to Bridgewater College for a tri-meet.
