Hollins hosted Ferrum College on Saturday afternoon looking to get back in the win column.  Hollins had been unbeaten at home until last Thursday when they fell to DI VMI.  Hollins started fast, winning five of the first six events, en route to picking up their third win of the season by defeating the Panthers, 94-85.

Maggie Dwyer (Norwich, VT) continued her hot start to the season by picking up two more individual wins, the 200 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly.  Dwyer also teamed with Geordan West (Monument, CO), Ashley Gao (Pearland, TX), and Kara Berman (Chapel Hill, NC) to win the 200 Medley Relay.  Audrey James (Fremont, CA) won the 50 Freestyle and Meg O'Brien (Chattanooga, TN) picked up first place points in the 200 Individual Medley.  Sage Otto (Hampton, VA), and Devyn Whitlock (Stafford, VA) teamed with James and O'Brien to win the 800 Freestyle Relay in the final event of the meet.

Hollins finished their four meet home stand with a 3-1 record.   The Hollins swimmers will be on the road for the remainder of the semester.  After a stop in West Virginia to swim against Davis & Elkins and West Virginia Tech (11/12), Hollins will finish the first part of their season with a trip to Sweet Briar in early December.
