After competing four times over the weekend, Hollins was back in ODAC action on Tuesday night.  Hollins traveled north on interstate 81 to face Bridgewater College in what was to be a thrilling four set affair.  The Eagles gained the upper hand early by taking the first set 25-20.  Set two was as close as it gets, as both teams enjoyed leads throughout.  With the set in the balance, Bridgewater took the lead last to win the round 25-23.  After a short break, Hollins took control early and cruised to a 25-16 win and pull to within a set of tying the match.  The excitement wasn't over as the fourth set came down to the wire with the home team eking out a narrow 25-23 win to take the match 3-1.

Lauren Hays (Saginaw, TX/Boswell) led the Hollins offensive attack with 11 kills and three service aces.  Jessie Deese (Cary, NC/Apex), Briana Taborn (Creedmoor, NC/South Granville), and Mandi McDade (Eustis, FL/Eustis) each recorded seven kills while setter Angie Moreno (Houston, TX/Elsik) handed out a match high 18 assists.  McDade added a team high 20 digs.

Katie Baker (13) and Bethany Doman (11) each recorded double-digit kills for the Eagles.  Bridgewater was led by Lauren Johnson's 17 assists while Casey O'Leary led the team with 23 digs.

Hollins returns home on Saturday when they play two against ODAC competition.  Hollins will host Virginia Wesleyan at 2:00pm before playing host to the 2010 ODAC Champions from Randolph-Macon at 7:00pm
