Hollins capped a three match run at home by sweeping Mary Baldwin College on Saturday afternoon.  It marked the second sweep of the Squirrels in as many days.  After dispatching of Ferrum in the morning, Hollins came out a little flat against Mary Baldwin and trailed midway through the first set.  With the score tied late, Hollins surged to the lead and held on for a hard fought 25-22 set one victory.  Hollins carried that momentum into the second set and blew through the visitor 25-10.  After the break, Hollins didn't slow down at all and cruised to a 25-9 third set win to complete the sweep.

Hollins dominated the match in every statistical category.  Mandi McDade (Eustis, FL/Eustis) racked up a match high 15 kills and three service aces.  Lauren Hays (Saginaw, TX/Boswell) added six kills and two assisted blocks while Briana Taborn (Creedmoor, NC/South Granville) recorded two solo blocks, two assisted blocks, and five kills.  First year setter, Angie Moreno (Houston, TX/Elsik) handed out 26 assists on Hollins 32 kills.

Mary Baldwin had trouble getting anything going.  The Squirrels were led by LaToya Diggs and her six kills.  Paige Babb had seven assists and Candace Pettway led the way with 19 digs.

Hollins will begin ODAC play when they host Randolph College on Tuesday night.  The match is scheduled to begin at 7:00pm and live video of the match can be seen on First Team Broadcasting..
