Hollins and Roanoke
Founded in 1842, Hollins enrolls some 1,100 students
in its undergraduate programs for women and its coed
graduate programs. Hollins' historic 475-acre campus
is located in Roanoke, Virginia (metropolitan population
of 250,000). A regional airport is located 10 minutes
from campus. Recreational facilities include a swimming
center, gymnasium, fitness center, and tennis courts.
The scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail,
and Roanoke's historic downtown and City Market are
minutes from campus.
