Distinguished Service Award for Lee Rose
Please join us in congratulating our own Lee Rose, Acquisitions Coordinator, for receiving a well-deserved Distinguished Service Award.
The award recognizes “meritorious or superior contributions made by current or former employees of Hollins University” and in Lee’s case, those adjectives perfectly describe her many years of service in the library. Lee deftly manages a schedule including ordering thousands of library books, films, resources and supplies, serving as assistant to the University Librarian and go-to person for everything from facilities questions to university budget arcana – and keeping the rest of us in line. She does this with a degree of organization, efficiency and good humor that makes it all look effortless. Lee’s the type of person who makes you realize why we have distinguished service awards in the first place. She joins the equally excellent Manat Wooten as recipient of a 2012 (18th annual) award. Congratulations, Lee!
