March on Washington Ephemera in Special Collections

Commemorate the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington by visiting the Wyndham Robertson Library’s Special Collections. The library has a commemorative portfolio from the event and several items from a participant. If you would like to view these items, come by the Special Collections (Office 303) in the library. The March on Washington was a peaceful demonstration held on August 28, 1963 in Washington, DC. Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his historic “I Have a Dream” speech to over two hundred thousand people gathered in support of the civil rights movement.
