Students, faculty and staff volunteered to help clear the three-quarter-mile trail, which runs across Hollins property and ultimately will connect with Carvins Cove Natural Reserve.
Students, faculty and staff will be giving back to the Roanoke Valley and enhancing the quality of life in the region during two special events in April.
The award recognizes Hollins students for embracing their civic mission and working in meaningful ways to improve their local community.
