The real Wyndham Robertson ’58 stands next to the lifelike portrait commissioned by Hollins and painted by Annette Polan ’67. The painting was officially unveiled and dedicated at a ceremony held on campus on April 13. In her remarks, Robertson said she appreciated the fact that the portrait hangs near the library’s circulation desk because it provides an immediate answer to “the inevitable question about the library’s name: who was that man Wyndham Robertson?” Read Robertson’s complete remarks, including the story behind the jewelry she’s wearing.
