Ellen Parke elected second VP of NYC-based Circumnavigators Club

Ellen Parke ’71, one of the first women admitted to the New York City-based Circumnavigators Club in 1984 and founder of its D.C. chapter the following year, was elected second vice president of the club’s international board of governor last fall. Established in 1902 as a support organization for global circumnavigators, the club also provides grants to exceptional college students who undertake around-the-world travel research projects during the summer between their junior and senior year.
