Robyn Ashleigh David Sottile ’03 and her father, Paul Davis, launched theproductnetwork.com — a site dedicated to inventors in the test phase of marketing their products. Following a successful career as a producer with the Home Shopping Network and the birth of two sons, Sottile decided she was ready for a self-made career. In an interview with the Gazette Virginian (Halifax, Va., 3/2/11), Sottile’s father said, “This is when she realized that more than just a baby had been born, but a new-found desire to take her experiences and love for the shopping channel industry and help inventors.” In collaboration with her father, who recently finalized his own invention, a refrigerator magnet and organizer, and through a partnership with ION Networks, the pair conceptualized the site, which inventors use to test market their products. TPN also airs a cable show on ION Networks.
