O-Team (Orientation) Leaders

Each first-year seminar also has an upper-class student mentor called an O-Team Leader to work with you as well. This student focuses on your out-of-class experience and connecting you to others and resources across campus. Throughout the summer and during Orientation, your O-Team Leader will be in contact and will be happy to answer your questions.

Akshi Agarwal

Hello, class of 2025! I’m Akshi Agarwal, and I’m a rising senior at Hollins. I am double majoring in mathematics with a concentration in data science and economics. At Hollins, I’ve been a quantitative reasoning tutor for about two years now, and I’ve also served as the secretary of the Model United Nations club in the past. I have three great passions: caffeine (I’ve accumulated three different kinds of coffee machines at home, all from different parts of the globe), music (jazz, in particular), and—dare I reveal it—math! Please free to reach out with absolutely any questions you have for me. I can be reached at agarwala@hollins.edu. See you in the fall!

Megan Brown

Hello everyone! My name is Megan Brown and I will be one of your Orientation Team Leaders for the upcoming school year. I am a rising junior with a chemistry major and physics minor. I am currently the senator of Chess Club, and will be the upcoming senator for the class of 2023. I am an international student from the Bahamas. Being so far from my home, Hollins has become a second home to me. From its beautiful surrounding mountains to its freezing cold winters, Roanoke has been nothing like my country, but I have fallen in love the differences, and couldn’t be happier. When I’m not in class, you can catch me enjoying a good book, spending time with my friends, or most likely doing homework. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at brownmk@hollins.edu! I can’t wait to meet everyone and give y’all a big Hollins welcome!
