Four Hollins University students will participate in the 22nd annual statewide collegiate Ethics Bowl, which takes place January 30-31 at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia.
The Hollins team will compete head-to-head against other highly qualified student teams from Virginia’s leading independent colleges and universities for the Batten Trophy, deliberating a variety of case studies relating to this year’s Ethics Bowl theme, “Pandemic Ethics.” Notable individuals from a variety of career fields including business, law, education, finance, journalism, and others will listen to team presentations and offer reactions to the students’ presentations.
Members of the Hollins student team are Emily Bulifant ’22; Vanity Hernandez ’24; Kiah Patterson ’23; and Mohini Sudhakar ’25. Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy Charles Lowney and Associate Professor of Philosophy James Downey are the team’s faculty coordinators.
The Ethics Bowl is co-sponsored by the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges and Wells Fargo.
